Our commitment to climate action: One tree planted for every Ton of carbon reduced

With our combined project, we link verified emission reductions from certified climate projects with additional local engagement. Climate change is increasingly noticeable in Europe as well: tree species such as spruce suffer from drought because their shallow roots cannot reach deeper, water-retaining soil layers, leaving them weakened and particularly vulnerable to pests. Storms also take a heavy toll on these shallow-rooted species.

Our initiative addresses this issue by supporting reforestation and the transformation of forests into more resilient mixed woodlands: for every ton of CO₂ saved through contributions to the certified forest protection project in Brazil or the reforestation project in Nicaragua, we plant one tree in Germany. In this way, we help our forests adapt to climate change. The tree planting is carried out in collaboration with the Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald (SDW), which brings years of extensive expertise. In addition, we offer our customers the opportunity to participate in the planting activities. The certified climate project is registered under international standards.
