Dieses Kombiprojekt trägt zur Finanzierung eines zertifizierten Klimaschutzprojekts bei und unterstützt zusätzlich den Naturschutz in Deutschland. Pro Tonne CO₂, die durch den Beitrag über ein zertifiziertes Klimaschutzprojekt eingespart wird, fließt ein Förderbetrag an das Bergwaldprojekt in Freiburg. Auf diese Weise ermöglichen wir dort verschiedene Aktivitäten wie die Wald- und Biotoppflege und den Schutz junger Bäume.

Derzeit wird das Naturschutzprojekt in Freiburg mit einem zertifizierten Solarprojekt in Indien kombiniert (climatepartner.com/1429). Dieses Klimaschutzprojekt nutzt die Kraft der Sonne, um erneuerbare Energie zu produzieren.

Bisher kombinierte Klimaschutzprojekte: Waldschutz, Pará, Brasilien (climatepartner.com/1056) und Waldschutz, Mataven, Kolumbien (climatepartner.com/1402 und climatepartner.com/1288).

Since 2001, the Mountain Forest Project has been active in the Schauinsland forest district of the Municipal Forestry Office of Freiburg. Forest management efforts focus on promoting deciduous trees and silver firs within the mixed mountain forest. An important and recurring measure is protecting young silver firs from browsing by chamois and roe deer through the installation of individual protective guards. Targeted habitat management interventions in the forest also improve living conditions for grouse species such as the capercaillie and hazel grouse.

With our combined project, we combine verified emission reductions through a certified climate project with an additional commitment to regional nature conservation. European ecosystems are also affected by climate change. Our regional nature conservation initiatives are therefore committed to preserving or restoring natural habitats and adapting them to climatic changes.

Possible project activities include the protection and conversion of native forests, the conservation of animal and plant biodiversity, peatland restoration, or the conversion of agricultural land. The certified climate project is registered with international standards.

Het project heeft als doel om bij te dragen aan deze Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) van de Verenigde Naties.

Project feiten

Klimaatprojecten vallen over het algemeen in één van de volgende drie groepen: CO2 vermindering, CO2 verwijdering of CO2 vermijding. CO2 verminderingsprojecten verminderen de uitstoot van broeikasgassen door een specifieke activiteit (bijv. verbeterde kooktoestellen). CO2 verwijderingsprojecten halen CO2 uit de atmosfeer door het vast te leggen in koolstofputten (zogenaamde "carbon sinks", bijv. herbebossing). CO2 vermijdingsprojecten voorkomen dat broeikasgasemissies in de atmosfeer terechtkomen (bijv. bescherming van bossen tegen ontbossing met REDD+-projecten).

Klimaatprojecten verminderen, verwijderen of vermijden aantoonbaar de uitstoot van broeikasgassen. Dit wordt bereikt met verschillende technologieën, variërend van op de natuur gebaseerde oplossingen ("Nature Based Solutions") tot sociale impactprojecten en hernieuwbare energie.

Met gecombineerde projecten brengt ClimatePartner financiering voor internationale, gecertificeerde klimaatprojecten samen met additionele steun voor natuurbehoudprojecten.
